The raffle raised the sum of £654. Very many thanks to all who supported the raffle by selling tickets along with those who donated prizes. Local businesses including Becketts Farm and The Co-op were among those who supported us and gave prizes. The total raised was excellent. Thanks to everyone.
Thanks to the grace of God, the generosity and hard work of family, friends, neighbours and the congregation of Immanuel Church we were able to raise £1,214.40 for Joshie and his family. They are overwhelmed by our efforts to help them.
The fundraising is ongoing and will continue for the next few weeks.
Many, many, many thanks to everyone concerned.
If you have not had an opportunity to donate and would like to do so, there is a tin on the table.
The final figure raised to help Joshie and his family is £1,509.22. Many thanks to everyone who helped in any way to raise this magnificent sum of money.
Foodbank - a message from
Michael Hastilow 23rd September
I took the Harvest Collection together with our regular collection of food to the Foodbank last week. It totalled 77.9 Kg enough for 185 meals.
It was the first of the Harvest collections and was received with open arms. The Summer Holidays resulted in a big demand for food for families with children who, during the summer break, no longer receive the free food supplied through school. There are the usual claims for those who are experiencing benefit delays and sanctions.
Stocks of food therefore took quite a battering and the comprehensive nature of Immanuel’s offering has helped replenish across the board.
Many thanks indeed to all who have contributed.
