Here you will find all styles of prayers from all ages and in all forms! You are also invited to submit your own prayers, artwork, pictures, photographs, short poems or written prayers, or send them a 1-minute audio or video file of a worship song, or even the prayer being read aloud. They also like to share in giving thanks together for answered prayer.
Bishops' Prayer Network
Week of Prayer 31 August-7 September
The Bishops' Prayer Network is a dispersed community of intercessors, praying faithfully for our Diocese, our city and our communities, while encouraging a deeper culture of prayer across Birmingham.

As we return from the summer, Bishop Michael and Bishop Esther invite you to begin the new season together in prayer.
31 August-7 September: Week of Prayer
As churches, schools and ministries regather, join us in praying for God's blessing on the term ahead. Anyone not already registered can sign up for an hour of prayer.
Prayer & Praise at Birmingham Cathedral
Everyone is warmly invited to gather for worship and prayer at one of our annual Prayer & Praise events:
- Wednesday 2 September, 7.30pm
- Thursday 3 September, 11.00am
New: Monthly Online Prayer
For those signed up to the network, Bishop Michael and Bishop Esther are introducing a simple opportunity to pray together online each month at half-hour gatherings held on Zoom.
- Monday 5 October, 7.30am – with Bishop Michael
- Monday 2 November, 1.30pm – with Bishop Esther
These gatherings will continue on the first Monday of each month, alternating between morning and afternoon.

We continue to hold Israel, Gaza and the West Bank (including East Jerusalem) in our prayers.

O God of all justice and peace, we cry out to you in the midst of the pain and the trauma of violence and fear which prevails in the Holy Land. We pray for people of all faiths, Jews, Muslims and Christians, and for all people of the land. Guide us into your kingdom, where all people are treated with dignity and honour as your children. PRAYER FOR UKRAINE
Every day, at 5 pm (EET) Ukrainian Christians are praying through Psalm 31. Please join us, with them, at 3 pm (GMT) each day, lighting a candle, reading the psalm and praying for peace.
